Sue Charles - Principal

For the past 20 years, Sue has worked in all sides of the construction industry. She has worked in the field as a carpenter, in the office as a project manager, and out in the world as a sale lead. She started Steady Hand Builders to bring to life her vision of a better process focusing on good communication, quality work, respectful working relationships, and collaborative decision making.

Prior work experience includes high end remodeling carpentry at Arciform, ADU construction at Environs, and project management as well as field lead for light commercial at Stinson Builders.

Sue also teaches for Oregon Tradeswomen, Inc helping underprivileged women step into a career in the trades.

Carey Lien - Carpentry Lead

With over a decade of carpentry experience, Carey comfortably leads a team carpenters through just about anything. With an eye to detail and creative problem solving, Carey understands how to keep a project moving.

Grace - Carpenter

Known for her quick mind as well as her quick hands, Grace is the kind of carpenter you want on your job. Throughout the day, Grace is asking smart questions and helping the team by focusing on the important details.

Isabel - Carpenter

Isabel is a process-oriented carpenter who is a key contributor in our jobs. Her collaborative spirit and upbeat attitude make her a great team builder.
